I hate to say it was "too quiet", but that was the feeling I was getting. That primal, gut feeling that there was danger about. It's hard to explain, and because it's difficult to explain, most people ignore it. If they can't understand it, it must not be important. But I know better. It's not really a sixth sense, but it is your other senses, and experience, coming together in your subconscious to give you that feeling. To be on your guard. Doesn't mean there specifically is danger about, but that the signs are there, and to be on your guard.

Which is why, when a light crack broke the silence, I was able to catch it, to whip around, ready a shield and a frigged blast, and confront what had been stalking me...


A lovely piece done for me by  Libra-11 some time ago which never "got around" to posting. I really do need to fix my procrastination issues. Anyway, depicted above is Damian showcasing some of his abilities for the first time in visual art. His talent for what amounts to ice magic has a lot of utility, as here he is beginning to form a shield with his left hand as his right is drawn back, building up a cluster of ice shards to hurl as a weapon. And as he's already manifesting power, he drops the illusions hiding his wings, which are coming into view now from the base outward.

I think this came out rather well showcasing a few of his talents, and if memory serves is also the first time he's actually had his glasses over his eyes in art. With how expressive the eyes can be, it's funny how often his glasses are moved aside to see his eyes.
