Didn't really know what to title this haha.
Anyway, this comic was commissioned by
blue443 for a rather pressing matter that has been bothering him for quite some time. It's the whole fact of some groups here on Deviantart do not allow Deviants to post artwork that they have commissioned someone else to make for them, with proper credit given to the original artist.
I'm not so sure how to feel about this subject matter, so I really don't know what to say. Other than that, this comic was started in late August and just now finished, thanks to school and a rather large project. So there is a bit of an improvement between the first few panels into the last ones! At least I think so :3
Hope you enjoy it! Feel free to express your opinions on this matter, I'm curious to see how others feel about it.

if you pay an artist to make a commishion of who your fur/ scale/ avian self happens to be. its yours. because you fucking bought it. you bought and paid for it. yes. credit is needed. but they cant/ shouldnt say "its still mine even though you bought it" thats like buying food and the store coming threw your window and taking it off your plate before you eat it. saying. "still mine, not allowed to eat it. looking is ok"
thank you again Kit for getting this done came out really good and I hope this helps to show the community what it is like for people on my end in the fandom. some people and groups treat OC owners that can not draw poorly and have flagged things i have posted for moderation or removal
Does this also imply that "Blue" (or any other character in a similar situation) now as a character, "belongs" to the artist(s) that drew Blue? So they are complaining that they only want the original owner to draw art, even if its only in stick figures? ...Thats borderline laughable and insane. I have very little art skill; not because I can't do art, but I simply don't have the time to learn the skill and sit down for four plus hours to do ONE picture in awesome jaw dropping detail like several artists I follow do. I love Line art because I can skip the draw, and go into the coloring and shading which I have some skill in, minor, but still some.
I do understand the TOS part completely; generally its good to link to a artist to send more work their way if you enjoyed the art. At least to try and spread word about that artist that you enjoyed, assuming you enjoyed the whole process. But this issue, is it only from Deviantart? Also from the description, not entirely clear about the proper credit to artists part. Does that mean even with credit to a artist, it will still be taken down/flagged? If so O.o' that seems a bit excessive.
Though for me, I tend to type out my descriptions, usually ends up being three pages long for a character more recently. Though it also depends if its a alien species of my own design or not. Those types of characters tend to be five pages of just description. Though I have included a 'general' summary that simplifies things quite a bit, and often's reference a animal or creature that is from earth that is similar in design somewhat. xP I do like Blue's commissions greatly because the picture's themselves offer a story; then he even writes a story for the scene which gives me plenty of entertainment~! I like world building .-. and character creation as you can tell XD!

what? not sure what you are saying. I think the artist posted a copy paste from devaitant, i have had issues on fa but most was from DA.
It is issues with people telling me when i pay an artist for a service that they own full rights to the art and everything in it. I gave up say on how that image can now displayed. there are people out there that will report me for reposting the art and sharing it around that i paid for. and yes i always give artist credit to back to the original posting.
if an artist wants to own full rights to an art then they should draw for themselves and not offer a service to draw for others and take there money. its why I and others pay money we want art, I want art for Me and the i want to share the art.
also this issue has not stemmed from artist but people playing internet police

Ah. Well "internet police" I did understand; at least that aspect of it, that it was others that were causing some/most of this. I also understood that the message that were being conveyed by the picture too. ^^
Well, anyway :3~ Hope you get to enjoy all the art you get commissioned with a lot less trouble whenever possible; enjoy your short/long stories that you have with your pics. :D
