Hiddson: Hello and welcome to another edition of Bandits Breakdown, your one stop shop for all things Las Vegas Bandits! Brett Hiddson along with Terrence Thursday, Issabelle Holt on the sidelines. We hope you all had a happy and safe Thanksgiving, and hopefully and fruitful black Friday weekend to gear up for the holidays. But most importantly had fun watching the juicy potential playoff match up as your Bandits went on the road to take on the New York Titans.
Thursday: You're right, Brett. Both of these teams looking to be the cream of the crop, the brown sugar on the sweet potato, the savory stuffing to--
Hiddson: *clears throat* I think they get the point, Terry. The Titans no slouch on the field as they have a receiving core as strong as they are youthful. Desmond Widmore and Justice Matari with third year standout John Cameron tossing the ball they are looking to get payback for the earlier loss to the Bandits.

Hiddson: Bandtis 9-2 looking to be the first team to double digit wins and to be a step closer to winning the conference and clinching a playoff spot. Titans need the win to even up the series against the Bandits and even up in the standings. Bandits however would strike first... Stapler on the play fake, pumps once... finds Harris single covered.. Caught and fights off the lone defender to take it the rest of the way! Touchdown Bandits! Harris' third TD catch of the season.
Thursday: And it would be the start of a big day for Stephen and for the Bandits. Showing the replay here, nice work attacking the ball at the highest point to prevent the defender from making his own play and to fight him off with a stiff arm to finish it off and get the score.
Hiddson: Bandits looking to add more to that lead, Stapler looking can't find any one and scrambles away... tries a juke and fumbled away! Willie Tancreti punches it out as he tackles him and Titans recover for the turnover.
Thursday: Yeah one of those things where Stapler wanted to make something from nothing seeing ahead but not that Tancreti chased him down before he could get that head of steam and punch it out as he took him down.
Hiddson: Titans would only get 3 points off the turnover though. On to the second with the Bandits driving, Terry Paige... getting in his work... Blaine Vernon working in tandem... good to see going forward... Red Zone chance for the Bandits... Stapler drops back to pass... looking for Harris in the corner... Got it! The slick serpent slithers for his second touchdown of the day. A 15 yard grab.
Thursday: Don't expect the Titans to go away quietly though. Cameron finds Widmore with a big play. 33 Yard grab for him there. Next play... Cameron quick step and throw and Justice is served up. Justice Matari, the 3 yard touchdown grab and it's 10-14 in favor of the Bandits.
Hiddson: Titans would start the half with the ball and capitalize with another field goal to make it 13-14 Bandits. Bandits weren't having this lead being blown without their own response. Later in the quarter, Vernon to get some rest for Paige and uh oh... helmet to helmet contact there, the refs say it's a clean enough hit however... and he would leave the field, Erinia confirms it's a broken jaw. So he'll be out for some time. Stapler wanting payback for his teammate.. and does it with a thousand dink and dunks... orchestrating a strong drive to keep the Titans D on the field.. First and Goal now, Stapler his own quick drop back and finds RVA with the inside slant route! Touchdown Bandits and that is R.V.A.'s ninth TD grab of the season! 21-13 Desert Desperadoes!
Thursday: This time the Bandits wouldn't stop there, after a three and out for New York, the Bandits get another good drive starting with a big play from R.V.A. 45 yard grab from him. That's his longest of the day. Later on the goal line. Got four downs but Stapler only needs one to Stephen Harris an absolute laser to the snake. Touchdown Bandits. Two for Stephen! Fourth Passing TD for Stapler! 28-13 Bandits.
Hiddson: Interesting development here... Stapler having some sort of issue with his helmet after completing a pass to end the third quarter, must have been the communicator device the so the coaching staffs can relay messages to their QB's must have taken some damage and he had to leave to the check with his staff to see if he could patch it up. Unfortunately the fourth quarter began and Stapler needed more time to get his helmet ready... so enter Andre Williams... and his first pass.. is picked off by the Drever dog Adolph Gardner.
Thursday: Gardner did a great job taking advantage of the situation, jumping the route as Andre got pressured to throw it. The team alerted the refs of the situation and by rule they had to shut down both teams communicators for fairness. So back to old fashioned tell them the play personally and relay it to the huddle. Bandits didn't seem to mind though cause they knew time was on their side and wanted to use it up.
Hiddson: Titans though needed points to get back in this game, and would get the needed touchdown off the turnover with Cameron finding Widmore once again for the score. 20-28 Bandits lead. Bandits would respond though. Big 4th down and 3. Stapler drops back and... complete to R.V.A. for 16 yards and keep the drive alive. Later on said drive, Terry Paige caps it off with a 9 yard TD run. 35-20. Titans would add a field goal and get the ball back after a three and out. Cameron scrambled away to get two yards and out of bounds.. 2nd and 8. pass to Higgins... incomplete dropping what would have been 3rd and 3 at worst. 3rd and 8.. Cameron … shot at the deep ball.... Incomplete! Matari dropped it too and you can see the frustration as he knows he had the step on Hopper but couldn't haul it in. 4th and 8 they need to get a first down. Cameron... Looking for Max Stahl... Imcompete pass. Marcus Hopper defends the pass away and that seals the game. 35-23 Bandits win their 6th straight game and are a step further from controlling the United conference.
Thursday: A great game all around and aside from the little hitch to begin the fourth quarter. They keep responding to the challenges in front of them with their brand of Bandits football, credit the OL for allowing only one sack and keeping negative plays to a minimum.
Hiddson: And for keeping our player of the game Sylvester Stapler on his feet. And he showed what he was made of against the Titans. 19-27 for 252 yards and 4 TD passes and even getting 65 yards on the ground on 10 carries. Other big play makers are Terry Paige with 115 yards on the ground with a touchdown and adding 31 yards in the air. Paige is currently leading all Running backs with 477 receiving yards. Just having a stellar year while second to Aaron Whitman (1120 runyards) in rushing yards (955) for 1432 all-purpose yards from scrimmage leading the league.
Thursday: Don't forget the great play from the wide outs. R.V.A. was dominant despite only getting one touchdown with 5 catches for 115 yards receiving. And Stephen Harris who I feel Stapler is giving the game ball to, 5 catches for 74 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Hiddson: And the defense for making the huge stop to ice the game, especially Marcus Hopper really stepping up to the challenge opposite Captain Quick. We'll take a short break but when we return, It was Sylvester's and his twin sister's birthday recently (Nov 21) and we have footage of his celebration with his teammates and the hockey center. And we take a look at the Bandits next match up with the Downriver Waves.
