You know, that's a really good idea. XD I figured if his clothes didn't change then why would his glasses, but that's definitely something that I'll do for my next TF. :)

I don't get it

Rags to riches refers to any situation in which a person rises from poverty to wealth, and in some cases from obscurity to fame—sometimes instantly.

Rags referring in this case to his human self, and riches referring to the much preferred form of the anthro. And being a Golden retriever I was thinking about the gold that the wealthy would have, or in this case a much suitable body. :)
