Story Canons:
Spirit is used in different universes. One universe it is accompanied by stupidshepherd's multi-armed spirit thing Dirty and another universe it is alongside another character, a horse/canine thing, that I recently wrote into a mini-comic. Other than that, Spirit has no solid story-canon.

One consistency that runs with all canons is his fall from spirit-ness. In all canons his spirit essence was revoked due to disobeying some sort of Spirit-y law and it has to learn what it's like to be mortal. It's always terrible at it.

Ability:
Spirit's heightened sense of empathy basically means it can feel the emotions of others very easily. This means it can sense if someone is sad, happy, angry, etc. The biggest downside to this ability is that it can be incredibly overwhelmed by emotions if surrounded by too many people at once. It also can affect its own emotions if the emotion it is feeling from someone else is particularly strong.

Orbs & Ribbons:
The orbs are Spirit's core "life source"; as a result, they are its biggest weakness. Should both orbs become disconnected from Spirit's body, it will "die" and return to the spirit realm. Of course, this happens at a cost, and Spirit will not be able to regain its previous role as a Wandering Spirit and will never leave the realm, at least not unless a higher spirit allows it. As such, this is why Spirit chooses to stay in his part-mortal state and not just kill itself off.

Other:
• It is not fully-mortal and as such its body make-up is not similar. This means mainly it does not require food or water and cannot produce waste. It doesn't stop it from trying to eat or drink, but it just gets thrown back up.
• It cannot smell or taste.
• It has no reproductive organs nor an understanding of gender. It will respond to anything, however.
• When frightened, it will hold its ribbons and orbs in its hands to keep them safe.
• Spirit has no real name and was only named as it was because someone told it that it was a "spirit" and it just thought that was what its name was. It actually has a variety of names given to it by local villages, but it's completely unaware of this.
