I know that you won’t really understand what’s going on. I know that change can be scary, but I also know that this is no place to raise a child– not in this place, not with my vices. I have tried to quit, but it’s harder to do than you think. I can’t afford to move to a better place, at least not right now.
I wish I could keep you here with me. I love you to pieces, but that’s exactly why I’m doing this. You’ll be in a better, safer place. You will be able to grow up living a normal, happy life. You’ll do well, I know so.
But I know that you’re young, that you’ll get upset, and maybe even angry.
One day I think you’ll understand.
