So, recently I took on an interesting commission from  undyingsong

It was to draw what Vampire means to me. Unfortunately, vampire means way more to me than can be put into one, single picture.

So, I decided to make it a series. This is the first one.

A vampire is...a being that is slave to it's own body's needs. You all know Roanoke, who's the sweet dorky vampire from my comic, Sacred Grounds. He's not always sweet or dorky, but he has to feed the animal within. When I very first think of 'vampire' I think of that inner struggle between what makes someone a person, and what makes them a monster.

To me, vampires are sympathetic monsters.

But it's a lot more complex than just that.
