Awesome as that is; it makes me sad. I loved Doctor Who, but now the show's become so wretched...

I would love to hear your opinions on why this is? I'm not disagreeing with you- I'm just curious.

Well, there's the convenience that everything from the RTD era is seemingly forgotten (Army of Ghosts, Journey's End, etc.), old companions are never even mentioned, the female companions are unlikable male-obsessed twats (Who tries to jump a man on the night before her wedding and who the hell kisses a guy they just met?!), constant retconning of not only the revived series, but the series as a whole, terrible revamped monster designs (they ruined my favorite villains, the Cybermen, with their Iron Man look) and every companion's experiences with the Doctor leads to an awful end.

And from what I've heard (I quit watching after series 8 with its finale literally making me fly off the deep end), they got rid of the sonic screwdriver!

I'm sure the sonic would come back, it's too much of a cash cow to give up.

Although Davison Baker and McCoy Doctors did pretty okay for the most part without the screwdriver haha
