"Young Evelyn was a huge target of bullying because of both her large size, having been taller than 98% of her teachers by fourth grade and the fact that she was never able to smile thanks to the facial paralysis thing.

Because of these two things, Evelyn hid her face with her naturally blonde hair and an assortment of hats. She also wore a lot of mens clothing. She didn't have many friends because of this except for Jamie, who one day came to her because she looked lonely and decided to hang out with her for awhile."
