The point was to be silly and nonsensical and point out the similarities. Not to adhere to extremes that they do not have in common.
Things they do have in common. One, they are both bald. Two, they both mainly wear yellow. Three, their main phases or titled whatever are similar as is "each day I grow some more" is similar to how Saitama "trains every day," and grows stronger every day. These are mostly visual things, but the idea that both of them focus on growing each day brought it together.
I don't care what they don't have in common. I care for the sheer fact that it was fun to point out the very few things they had in common to make a silly little joke.
Don't try to rain all caps on the parade of nonsense.
