OK SO NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS BUT I FEEL IT CAN HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE SINCE THIS METHOD IS STUPID EASY?
:Good uses:
-Stained glass
-Lace
-SNOWFLAKES
-Psychedelic stuff
-patterns?? like??
-floral things
- I DUNNO MORE?
:Tips and question answers:
-The shorter the initial line is vertically, the worse i find the end result looks. Longer base lines yield the best results.
-Flipping horizontally ( Step 2 ) Is COMPLETELY optional. The main pattern in the tutorial does not have this, meanwhile most of the examples do. Both look fine, it's mostly a matter of personal opinion~!
-When using this for lace, note that you may have to free transform (sai) the patterns, as well as overlay the split pattern a few times before it gets the best 'lace' look.
-Almost any squiggle you come up with can work with this tutorial. As labelled in the examples, random fire, angry faces with a single curvy line, and just a line of lost hand control works!
-For snowflakes, simply use sharper ends on your line design, and usually stop at step 4! :D You don't need to overlay much here.
