Krampus son of the Norse Goddess Hel is also known as the Shadow of St Nickolas. While Santa hands out toys and sweets to well behaved childeren, Krampus deals out punishment to those who have misbehaved... hitting them with sticks, putting coal in their shoes and dragging the really naughty ones back to his lair in the underworld...
