Zippy conducts the time honored tradition of oiling around a steam locomotive.
Picture shot with flash at dusk. The locomotive is WM 202 on static display at Hagerstown City park. Yes, I know those rods look rusty, they are scheduled to be hined and painted next spring. They were allowed to become rusty after some well intentioned but ignorant (as they usually are) railfans stripped them to bare metal.

Well, stripping down to bare metal isn't bad, by itself, as long as you proceed to re-coating/painting them again afterward. It's stopping half-way that's the problem! Looks like you'll have quite a task on your paws to get them back into shape in the future.
Heh, engineer with an oil can - that's a classic scene! Careful not to get too much oil & grease in your fur! *chuckles*
Speaking of fur - Wuff's also gotta think that flammable fluff and a working steam engine could be a bit of a hazardous combo. Unless, of course, you've come to like the scent of singed fur in the morning. *chuckles*
