The bat, now Melissa, is about to go in for the surgical part of her treatment. The last two years have been an intense time for her. Looking back at everything up to that point, and knowing that when she wakes up she'll be herself...it's overwelming.
When I finally admitted how much I needed help it was too much for me. I don't know how to describe it really. Just the release from feeling guilty about what I am, and what I need to become was tremendous. I hope everyone can find their own peace.
