I mean that's entirely up to you, but it'd be weird, since he looks and acts 17. It's kind of like Goldie; people keep asking for 18+ art of him, but even if he was 18, it'd still feel awkward. This is because Goldie's my inner child, and will therefore remain 15 (16 at most) and not partake in "adult" activities.
My point is, don't change your character to win a crowd over. Do what YOU want to do.
