The first half mile from the staging point to the "start" line was killer, as everyone in front of us was moving faster than a normal walk. We had to run a couple times just to keep up. I was tired by the time we actually got to start "parading".
It was a fast paced parade, too, so it was very difficult to interact with the onlookers.
