Here’s the colored version of that sketch! I'm not totally sold on some of these colors.
Meet Miranda, the sphinx. She can’t help but constantly tell riddles; unfortunately for those around her, if anyone answers one of those riddles wrong, she is compelled to eat them. Ignoring a riddle from her is safe, though, so most of her friends know to just not answer if she asks one, but occasionally someone slips up.
(Because it has a lot of kernels.)

Okay, I'll admit, the going in part works for sphinxes...
But, is there really anything that compels them not to let someone back out, especially if they're a friend? One would think they at least get a loophole or two. The mythological world is bound to be full of loopholes that can be exploited in the modern day!

I'm pretty sure that when I originally drew this, I was figuring that Miranda stripped her first, but given the context of the picture, I could honestly see it going either way. I can imagine Miranda's friends being like "well, shoot. Alright, give me a sec to get myself ready."
