Endless Realms player class - Dandy
Player class artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Typically hailing from noble backgrounds, dandies are renowned for their cunning wit and skill with swords, using precision moves and force of personality to keep their opponents under control. As far as players are concerned, this class is essentially a fencing bard-tank - here, we have a Chaos Al'miren standing poised and watchful, ready to strike. I had initially thought that we would be doing a male Kalamir, since we haven't done one yet and it seemed fitting, but after some initial playtesting, the art director wanted me to make the dandy an Al'miren instead - apparently, not a single player had created a non-caster Al'miren, and she wanted to encourage players to try other race/class combinations.

OOooohhh!! we get to see player classes now?! awesome! :D
And I couldn't tell you much on the PNG. Only times I've ever had that happen I forgot to preserve transparency during export or something along those lines and it just autofills the alpha layer as black or white depending on the program. *shrug*

Heh, there are a number of other player classes posted already :) Just got broken up a bit - they're all in here: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/.....ndless-Realms/ but they go back to the previous page.
As for the PNG, the transparency works in Windows viewer and deviantArt and in Photoshop, but not when I upload it to FA o_O

Yeah, I figured you were talking about the Pathfinder one - I don't think it'll be quite like the swashbuckler, though. I don't really have time to go over it, but it looks more like it's more about utility/mobility/DPS rather than tanking and mob-control/manipulation, but then again, I think Pathfinder is a bit more of a versatile system than ER's will be? Not sure, since I'm not involved in the mechanical/technical part of the game.
She looks really elegant
It's always going to be a challenge to get people to experiment with races and classes if certain ones are geared more to a specific type of group. It's a big issue in D&D for sure since certain races are built more toward certain classes.
Are you one of the play testers?

Thank you kindly :)
Well, I'm not actually sure anymore, but last I heard, there were no racial stats - they were all perfectly equivalent, designed specifically so you could pick whatever race/class combo you'd like ((I personally disagree with it, since I don't believe the average Al'miren should have the same strength as the average Ulvar Kyr, for instance, but I can see why they wanted to design the game this way)). Last I heard, the races were more like WoW, where they're all equivalent statistically, except they have a few different abilities or utility skills that set them apart.
No, I'm not - sorry, you can't grill me for info XD
