SCOTT PILLBUG
Here's something that's been hiding in my hard drive for a while: a pill bug parody of the hardcover art for Scott Pilgrim Vol. 1! I enjoyed trying to mimic the original art and Bryan Lee O'Malley's style.
He's a little different from my usual bugs because this was done as a contribution/bit of bonus art for a friend's new short comic! If you're into insect characters and like them in adult flavor, too, be sure to check out "Every Little Bit Helps" by
Chirasul. He's posting a page every Friday, though you can PWYW and get the entire thing right now high-res with exclusive bonus content - 10% goes to the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign!
Either way, this was a fun image to make. Yay for playing with chunky lines!
