Bloodborne OST - Watchers"Kings create life, Kings weave Aether. The grand opus of the One King were the humans, a race to be supposed to inherit a world destined to be static when all Aether had been woven into the Thread of Life. No one would have known that these humans would be the ones to commit hybris, to become creators themselves, extracting liquid Aether from woven creatures. And with this, even though the mind of a King is unfathomable to us, the One King returned from his exile after the Age of Men, only to rectify his very own sin as he took upon a new shape.
Now, a King clad in white and gold resides over the Entombment, once a proud city of humans but now cleansed from the scourge of foul Aether. Oh, how have we sinned to do deserve this - doomed to be reduced to flesh and blood, to bring the King what once was his: the force of life in our veins! Once the heirs of reign, now doomed to be forgotten when the King has finished what needed to be done."
Another King from my KINGSLAYER universe - this time it's the One King, creator and judge of humanity. He's joining the ranks of the Exiled King and the Hunting King!
Wanted to strive for something ever slightly different from standard fantasy, as usual, so have some sort of weird biotech samurai! Actually the first thing I actually 'painted', sort of, most shading is done on one single layer.
Fully done in the latest version of Krita 64-bit. Feedback appreciated.

The story/lore will be told solely through descriptions, there's no actual written text, haha. I always make that stuff up on the fly before uploading. I'm glad you like what I came up with!
Aether solely is, to answer in-universe, the "the force of life in our veins" which both exists in a liquid and woven aka crystalline form. Kings can only 'weave' the former one to create lifeforms, whereas the crystalline one or the living creature is unshapeable to them (there's no liquid Aether to manipulate, to put it that way). Technically, Aether is like the blueprint of life and magic. It's a bit more complex and I'll tell more about it, you can also read a bit more on it in the description of the two pieces I linked in the description!
