Diana Harlan Stein has a particular affinity for both skunks and mages, as I've pointed out on a few occasions. Upon seeing some of her modern sorcerer artwork at MFF this year, I decided to commission her for another skunk mystic of mine, this one straight out of modern-day Chicago, John J. Striker. She nailed his look and even gave him a bit of swagger that matches his confidence and positive attitude even among the creatures he habitually exorcises. I've always enjoyed seeing how artists ornament him based on just a few key items I mention in his description, and Diana dressed him up wonderfully here.
