As most of you know, I've aligned myself with the G1 Pony, Rainfeather. Her symbol, a blue duck carrying a yellow umbrella through the rain, goes well with all I've learned through therapy, encouragement of family and friends, and heading Coping with Limitations Through Pony.
There is very little original art of her. So I was pleased when I was able to bargain someone on eBay for this puzzle from the G1 era. It is Rainfeather with her other nursery friends! You can't see Rainfeather's Cutie Mark due to her being in a diaper, but she's the one in the middle.
It's also cute how there are two duck toys in the nursery along with Rainfeather and her friends. Yay ducks!

Ah! There are three ducks! I just spotted the pull-along toy. The one under Rainfeather was easy along with the drummer duck, but that pull-along was hidden well.
It's fun to think how our friendship really took off thanks to this particular Pony. Now we have a whole world filled with OC Ponies to have fun with that are all yours. :)

The most interesting of things can start wonderful bonds we'd never know were there. I am thankful each day for you kindly reaching out to me as, to this day, I still use a part of your first pic to me as my avatar. Rainfeather is so my pony. :)
I'm also glad we could work together to create other great characters, too. In particular Candy Cloud. I am looking forward to when I can work with her again to finish "Pint's Birthday Party". It's a very loooooooooooooooooooong overdue work, but one I vow to finish, along with other tales. :)

I think the easiest way to think of Candy Cloud is to see her as like a happy-go-lucky duckling. The "Mommy Duck" would be Fall.
Little ones tend to want to emulate those they "feel" are like them. I know my son likes emulating a little boy he gets to visit every so often. The two sound and act so alike when they're together. However, it's more my son copying the other boy while adding little things to it in which are uniquely his own.
So, for me, Candy Cloud sees Fall in that way. She sees her as that friend who she really-REALLY likes. She wants to know Fall more while introducing her to things she likes. So Candy, if a play date ever did happen, would likely want to play in the clouds, go to carnivals, or do anything that is full of fun. Perhaps eat cotton candy while holding balloons. Or she'd want to dance with Fall while bouncing off the walls with all the energy she naturally has coming out in full force since she wants to impress her special friend. :)

You're Candy Cloud, to me, is a filly who has no idea of the darkness in the world. Her parents try their best to not argue in front of her while also explaining things positively. This includes if she gets hurt playing, or if mom or dad may not be in the best of moods. They want her to grow up knowing anything can be seen from "The Bright Side". They don't hide truths from her. Rather, they use word crafting to dial down the negative impact of certain situations and/or events.
Since Candy Cloud knows everything will always be okay, she's a very happy, energetic, young filly who delights in bringing joy to others. This could be another reason why she was drawn to Fall. Fall may have looked nervous, or like she needed some happiness, during her day at the school with Bucky and Pint. So, like her parents, she likes bringing that sunshine to some pony just like her mommy and daddy do for her. It's her chance to be like a grown-up while having loads of fun in the process. :)
Again, that is just my view on her. She is "your" character. I may have created her, Rawhide, and Moonside, but they are all "your" characters. Please always take my suggestions as just that. Suggestions. :)

<LoL!> I love it. Moon Butt. I'm sure some have used that on Luna, but I love the idea of Candy's dad being "Moon Cloud". Gives a wonderful visual of the image of a full moon shining with some light, fluffy clouds slightly obscuring it at the upper-left and lower-right. :)
I never tire of hearing all the detail you have for so many unique characters, Ari. The way you describe them, to me, makes me truly feel like I should know them since they are more than just ideas, they're believable entities that could very exist. :)
This is certainly one of your strong points. Your characters all have heart. None seem forced, cookie-cutter, etc. It's like you go out one day, meet people, and come back to share what they were all like. Kind as if you yourself travel through a magical gateway to worlds afar to bring back the stories of these characters. It's very awesome.

That's the true icing on the proverbial cake, my squiggle buddy. *Snugs* You can never go wrong with ducks. :)
I'm still envious of the UK version of Rainfeather. She actually has a story instead of that silly "Magical Diapers!" thing we in the States got. I love her tale of being able to make it rain through the use of that little duck's blue feather. It's so sweet. Plus it puts more emphasis on her than what happens when she piddles for nappy.

Oh, most definitely! Especially if Hasbro and Studio DHX did something based on her ability to use her magical, blue duck feather that made it rain. (The British description for her tells of a tale of how a duck really wanted to play in the rain. So Rainfeather asked for a feather from the duck and used it to magically make it rain so they could play together)
G1 may get a lot of flack for not being very deep in plot, but it did have a lot of characters in which made it easy for someone to find one in which they could enjoy based on their Cutie Mark and talent. :)
