This piece was composed as it was performed, more than ten minutes, for the most part weeping over the keyboard, so it sounds like it was composed as it was performed, for the most part weeping over the keyboard.

It reminds me of a Chopin piece...it shines occasionally, but it kind of upset me that a smart-sounding theme would be swallowed by an arrhythmic pounding of keys that, however indicative to the song's theme, aren't pleasant to listen to. I realize some parts may have been repeated; sorry if I got that wrong, but I cruised through the song rather quick.
I do realize the song may have been made for the purpose of releasing a very negative emotion; I have no problem with whatever personal significance this has, but I'm simply offering a critique based on conservative musical canon I seem to have made up by myself. With a bit of splicing, it could be a very promising piece :)

Obviously, this isn't in any way a complete piece. I wouldn't even have any idea how to notate parts of it. I put this up to illustrate the very personal connection I have with my music. Hopefully, I'll be able to extract certain melodies and such from this and be able to produce a publishable piece.
And, for the record, I don't think something has to be pleasant to listen to to be beautiful. I was lucky enough to see a live performance of The Firebird Suite, and it was among the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. But no one in their right mind would claim that that piece is "pretty". :P I can write pretty -- check out the lullabies in my gallery, or the "Lavender" wind duet. But this was not in any way intended to be pretty. It's a very direct transfer of emotions from my self into the keyboard.
That being said, the comparison to Chopin is very kind of you. And I do appreciate the critique. Thanks for listening, and for commenting. :D
