I've been planning on doing that myself, eventually. Out of sheer curiosity, how much does it hurt? I have an extremely high pain tolerance and I'd do it regardless, but I'm curious :p

Dude, I didn't even FEEL it. It was so painless it wasn't even funny. Popping a zit hurts more than getting your lobe pierced.

My main concern is that I have a cist that occassionally shows up in my earlobe for a few weeks at a time before magically dissipating. I'm wondering if that could be potential for problems after a piercing.

Well, with an earlobe piercing, you're able to take it out as little as a few days after you get the piercing. Just don't leave it out. Maybe we'll find ya a new one when we're wanderin' around on Wednsday.
