I had the inspiration for these when I was out for a run. You know, one of those runs you plan to start doing several times a week if not every day and then never do another. Well I thought about how cool underwater volcanoes were and thought I could try and paint one of those on an earring set. It was way trickier than I thought despite great reference pictures. Ultimately, I don't think I did a good job even though they still look cool in their own right. They just didn't come out like I expected them to.

And what completely blew my mind is that this set sold at MFF! I was pretty shocked! I would have have picked this one over the others I had. So they were a grand success apparently! Who knew!
