i need to buy some more bottled water.

I for one buy soda bottles and keep refilling them with tap water for months.
There are always two of them on my desk!

the water from the tap where i live doesn't taste right. and its not the whole area. where i lived for three years, that's only a mile or two away, the water was, if not fine, at least palatable. i did that too, refilling bottles and keeping one in the fridge and all that. i've done that pretty much everywhere. but where i am now, i think something is not quite right with the plumbing. the water from the distant water heater, where the particulates have had a chance to settle, if you let the water in the pipes run out, then the water from the hot is ok, and it still isn't hot yet, which i'm not sure why that is either, well for that little while, that's all the water that is ok. otherwise, i wouldn't bother with bottled water. but for a situation like this, that's what its for.

Oh, same here, actually.
I used "tap water" to mean it isn't bottled water, but I don't drink it straight of the tap - there is a water filter attached to it.

If you don't trust these, a more traditional ceramic filter is always nice, and tastes good.

If you're feeling paranoid, an UV purifier is always an option!

To me, anything is better than buying water. It feels like buying air, or eletricity, or phone credits... laaame!
