"According to monster lore, the ancestors of the Sox were self-conscious of the gaping holes in their tails. Over time, it was discovered that eating precious stones spurred the growth of peculiar metal pads over the holes. Quite by accident, Soxes learned they could use them, along with their tube-like snouts, to create smooth musical riffs! The age-old mystery of 'What does the Sox say' has now been solved."
Soooo I wanted to try the Three Marker Challenge, and I needed to use a character or creature that I wasn't particularly set on the colors for. SO I went with a critter found in one of the phone apps I currently play called My Singing Monsters. This is of course the Sox...with a slightly different color scheme because my color draws were red, orange and yellow. (Don't know how I managed that honestly. lol)
What you see here is the version *after* I went in and added shading, highlights etc. The original with *just* the three colors is on my Facebook page (linked below). It isn't as pretty, I had trouble with blending since all three markers were so highly contrasted, and I basically had to wait until they were drying out to even attempt blending. Worked pretty good for the hair but the spots suffered a little. lol Oh well, I guess that's the point of the challenge. >u<
Picked the Sox because even though I've not progressed far enough in the game to have one yet, it's still my fave. :3 Read about the Sox here: http://mysingingmonsters.wikia.com/wiki/Sox
