So I challenged myself to do a drawing completely on my phone. I've only been using it for quick sketches every now and then, but I wanted to see what else I can do with my Note phone using autodesk Sketchbook app. The car was traced, so that ain't too special. Ahaha
Its random, but I felt like doing a car themed picture. I never really mention it, but I always loved cars growing up since my dad was a mechanic, I just never got into the mechanic stuff myself since I liked drawing them more. As a kid I drew a lot of cars!
Since I don't know Japanese I had to go to my personal translator
soba Thank you!

As always, Risu is extremely cute ;) Those eyebrows just give the big guy so much personality! I like the slick style you have going with him here, as it really does kind of push that 'anime' look. What I'm most impressed by, however, is that car! You did a fantastic job with that, keeping it very detailed and looking very clean. I find cars and other machines to be extremely difficult, so I'm just floored by how you made something that looks this authentic on just your phone. Very impressive, Rodney!
It's kinda tedious, but you can also download new brushes via the app servers as well (though you have to do it one at a time...). When you get the canvas open, hit the brush palette icon, then the + in the menu that pops up. Another window pops up with two tabs: Standard and Cloud. Cloud's what you want; open that tab and tap the brushes you want to download. A dialog opens up, tap set on that and you're set for that brush. Now just repeat for the rest of the brushes you want. It's tedious, but there are some nice brushes there. Hope they do a better method of downloading those brushes in the future, though xD
Ohhhhhh my goodness, what an adorably thick squirrel! <3 I have to wonder how he squeezes himself AND that tail into that tiny little car. Surely that futzes with the speed, doesn't it?
I'm really surprised (and impressed!) that more and more people seem to be sketching art on their phones. I guess that's one good use for the rise of phablets, right? I have so many questions about the Note; are you able to use a stylus for it? Is the screen pressure-sensitive? That background is no joke; how long did it take you to do? All in all, a very lovely piece!

I'm sure his seats are modified for his big tai, and as for the speed, there's probably a lot of torque and horseys under the hood to carry this big fellow!
And to answer your questions: yes, the note phones are known for their styluses. The stylus that comes with it is made by wacom, so it does have pressure 2048 pressure levels. The pen feels great on the screen. It has a rubber nib so it has more grip and will not slip. The background took maybe an hour to create. The autodesk sketchbook app does have some brushes that help speed up the process. Depending on the size of your canvas you are limited with layers to use. This one was a large image so it only allowed me 6 layers. I had to open new documents to work on the car. Ahah
