This year's company Xmas party was medieval themed and so I figured I'd dress up - a little.
I was impressed with all the other folks who had costumes, people really got into it. Sadly I didn't find a suitable knight to do battle with. I stayed for the last half of the party and then took the horseless carriage back to the parking lot after one beer.

Since this getup takes almost 45 minutes to put on I decided to grab some photos before I turned in for the night.

First time I've worn chainmaile on my head - it's like an epilady, not cool.

I made much of the stuff for this costume except the gauntlets, the pirate sash bag, lamellar codpiece of justice and the maile is from India via eBay just like the sword. The shield is a table top from lowes lovingly painted with tractor supply Allie Chalmers orange and the rest of the leather work and buckles and straps are mine.
