Yeah it's a reference from an anime called Hellsing (Ultimate), it's what a group of badass modern Vatican elite vampire-hunters called the Soldiers of Iscariot answer when asked "What do you hold in your left hand?".

It's kind of far out there as far as references go but it's just the first thing that barged into my mind when I read the title of this picture. It was either I quoted that or something from an indie game called Darkest Dungeon figured I'd derp about the more popular of the two. =P *huge-nerd*

I always enjoy all your work.There is alot going on here,the facial expression,and the lighting clearly state a dark reasoning.The halo glowing,and shadowing is really well blended,and adds a tinge of hope to the scene.You have an excellent sense of perspective and realism.I really like your character too,very unique,and original.Your work is always like a storybook,waiting to be unfolded,and told.And there are always people waiting to read it.Keep up the astonishing and magnificent work as always.You never fail to impress.
