Krampus is quite the underrated christmas related being. I mean, we have guys like Santa and Jesus and their tales, but Krampus has yet to become a thing... I'm hoping someone will do a song about this guy. Like "Uh-oh, Krampus!" Or something.

Well, Krampus is pretty popular in Europe, and becoming popular in the United States as a sort of reaction to the overhyped nature of modern Christmas. That said, he's basically the other half of the Santa coin; where Father Christmas rewards the good children, Krampus punishes the naughty children. It's hard to become popular when you're the Bad Cop.

Quick Question: Is this Beast a good guy or a bad guy? (I know that most fairytale beasts start off bad and turn good, but is Krampus any different?)

Krampus works with Santa, so he's a good guy.

As far as I know, he was a wild spirit that did not do well when Christianity spread to his territory, terrorized people, probably ate children, until Saint Nicholas trapped him in chains until he knows right from wrong. He accompanies Nicholas on his sleigh ride and while Santa gives gifts to the good children, Krampus scares if not torments the naughty children.
