This is an older OC that I'm finally fleshing out and coloring :P I designed her earlier after getting curious and researching the creature that lives in the hottest temperatures.

She’s modeled after the Pompeii worm (Alvinella Pompejana) which lives in tubes connected to volcanic vents with their tails in the hot part and their heads (with the gills) poked into the comparably much cooler open water. They secrete a sugary slime that bacterial colonies feed off of to form a sort of hot jacket to protect their bodies from the temperatures in the vents. They’re pretty cool little things (up to 5 inches) tbh.

Here she’s resting on her tail and has less in the way of colonies on her back since it’s colder and she doesn’t need them atm (just an idea I’m toying around with :P)
