Recently it was asked of me via note what I meant by 'expressions' in my last journal. Fair enough seeing how I need to get into the habit of actually explaining how I work my game, so I decided to use this as an example.

Over on deviantart for his character Grimm, who plays a large role in Project Horizon (He is co-author after-all.) It contained 3 bodies, normal, diapered, and sissy, and 14 expressions for his face.
Now for those of you who didn't see or play Cubs in Care a lot, (Why not? I thought I did a good job on it...) a renpy game is like a visual novel or dating sim, think Hatoful Boyfriend, just not creepy... at least not in THAT way. as such most of the body gets covered up so arm movement is nice but not a necessity, Syrus moves his arms because he kinda needs to, Cat, Edgar, Lute can because they're tall enough, and Kyo needs to in order to be expressive.
With that in mind, after Grimm gave me his expression sheet on deviantart, I took the heads and put them on the tree body types, and made this sheet, I may not even need all these, (like the normal clothes, I'm pretty sure I won't need given where I've gotten to), but I hold onto them, and as I go I take one, color it in, and put it in the game.
Now when I ask for help with expressions a la the Christmas wishlist, do I need something this complicated? No, not at all, even just one head of one character and one body is enough to help me. There are a lot of poses to go through, and a lot of characters, (Next journal will list them all) Any help is appreciated.
