"Sometimes I would see you with a small brush and some scruffy papers. You would never say what these things were for. It wasn't long after then that I would see you writing something. I couldn't make out the symbols, words, whatever they were, but you were so quick to hide them when I came near..."

"What's that?"
"Ah! ...um, nothing. It is nothing."
"You startle so easily. It's not like I don't make noise out here. You should be able to hear me a mile away with those big ears."
"I was concentrating on my writing. You...you did not happen to read any of it, did you?"
"Pff, I've seen your writing. You know I can't read your language."
"Yes, well, that is why I use it. It is for the best you not know."
"Oh, really? What could you be hiding on these papers that's oh so bad for me to know?"
"Maybe someday I...I could read it to you."

"I wanted to know."

Okay, I admit I was asking most of these questions, but not all. Every so often there happens to be someone that asks questions that I could never think of, like the distinction between kinds of Faraden, so no, it's not only me.
Also, the reason behind that may be that people want to avoid spoilers if they have chances of seeing the whole story in the future, or just want the art. Either that or the general shyness, which is often a problem around here as well as dA.
So to wrap it up, it's not really your fault.

I use an IP tracker as I have gotten some poor treatment in the past on other places. I don't always look at the traffic, but I see that most of them come from one location. I pick up on other things as well.
I want people to feel like they can interact with the story and its characters. This is something I have been piecing together for most of my life and it means a lot to me...probably more than any of my material possessions, honestly. It is a major part of my life that I used to hide out of fear of bad reception. In the past, when I shared work related to it I would not post any information at all, usually just some dashed lines because FA and such make you post something when posting images.
But without this interaction, I feel as though I may just be wasting time, both mine and that of others.
There is a lot I put into this. Everything is deliberate, even minor details. I like to know what people see in my work and I try to encourage them to think and tell me what it is they see. I have a WIP that will be very confusing to a lot of people and it has successfully confused the few I have shown it to. I am looking forward to any comments I might get on it, hoping to work on it this weekend if not sooner.
For the record, I like that you enjoy my work and my story. I know that you frequent my sites and that you even have a DA collection specifically for my story-related works. It really does make me happy to see, and I notice things more than I may show.

That's clever.
I think I can understand this fear. The characters we create are like manifestations of certain pieces of our minds and it's not easy to open up on someone. What I can understand completely though, is that it's important to you. We've all been there, our inner world that we create to be so much better than the real one.
Well, I guess there is absolutely nobody that would find his/her time wasted by viewing your art and/or reading your descriptions.
And this is what I admire - the every little detail in either your artwork, answers or descriptions. This is exactly why I got interested in it the moment I first saw it and I can tell I'm not the only one that appreciates it, looking at the comment that was added to your DD award. You also have very interesting motives going on in your story, great design and I like your characters. That's what I think. As for your new work, I'm eager to see it whenever you're ready to post it.
Nothing gets past your attention I see. ;)
