Sweet zombie Jesus, I have the month of January off work! I couldn't be happier, I have SOOO much stuff to do. This includes, but is not limited to my EP, which I've been working on FOREVER. This is due to very little time outside of work and hanging out. That, and being hung up on some stuff about the songs, mostly lyrics n solos.
This is a track off that EP, titled Alone in the Dark. I had it uploaded in the sampler I put up a while back, but this is the fully arranged version, minus vocals and solo, both of which have yet to be recorded.
This is basically to show off the new drum program I got, as advised by
eutroraccoon. The program in question is Addictive Drums, and they are just that. I've only played with it for like all of today, but I already love it, so thanks dude!
The drums are all programmed the same in terms of instrumentation as the old version, but with the new Drum VST. Worlds difference.
The bass I re-recorded cause the original take I had was really muddy due to the fact that when recorded, I had the neck and bridge p/u's both cranked. I redid it so it's clearer sounding. Still haven't mixed and EQd it yet, it's too high in the mix I know. Also the drums haven't been bounced to audio and mixed proper, so the mix is off, but for all intensive purposes of showcasing Addictive Drums, it's fine.
I spazzingly recommend anyone who records at home to go out and get this program. Buy it, download it, borrow it, w/e. You need this. Go, get on. Go get it. NOW ;)
