Nova is a high flier, this is mostly done because he doesn't have a problem with super high altitudes. He also does this so he can completely avoid other dragons. He has no problem with long distance travel and sometimes he does happen upon a stranger or, two. Sometimes he leaves, create he can be really loud when he's speeding up since he tends to create strong winds or he can just glide along and probably not be bothered.
