If your computer is still on, I'd tell you, use imgburn and record a Windows 7 ISO to a DVD. If your computer dies, you'll be able to reinstall Windows at least.
If you do the same with some Linux distro, you will be able to at least use your computer or try to rescue data from it.

So what's up with the machine? My brother is IT, so I can describe the "symptoms" to him and see what he can suggest?

When I turn it on, put in my password and let everything load up, the second I click on anything, and that's ANYTHING, it freezes.

I've tried multiple things. Now it also freezes when it loads.

And now (starting today) it's even gotten to the point that Safe Mode won't even load.

Spoke with my brother, and prognosis isn't good. He says it sounds like a fried hard-drive. Are you getting a clicking sound when it tries to boot up? If so, your hard drive is toast and it'd be a trick and a half to recover anything on it. If it's quiet, then it's got something in it shorting out. At least that's what he is guessing at listing the details.

It doesn't click, in fact the computer runs fine after I do a Disk Check, but I HAVE to do a Disk Check!

I'm on it right now after all, so the Hard Drive is fine.
