But they seem to be closed. The suit maker I'm currently going with is happy tails  bambiboo3. Mine supposed to be finished in a week or two. She might have some openings soon.

how did you go about deciding what you'd like and from who?

I wanted something toony (but not overly toony), I wanted to go with a not so well know builder so I wasn't paying a crap load or waiting years to finally get chosen to have a suit built, and I wanted someone who had a good reputation.

I posted this journal a few months ago http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6911677/ and she left a comment letting me know she was open. So I checked out her work, got a few quotes, and decided to go with her.
I'm only getting a partial right now.

there pretty good but at 2,800 starting for a full plantigrade suit, they're one of the most expensive. but I think I'd be ok paying more if the makers are super cool and easy to work with. so far I can't even get a response from a few others

Another one that might be good for you is  kirarussiafox. Her prices are fairly low.

that's cool. I don't think many builders watch me though. there is atleast one I should check out, I'm waiting on a "first contact" response from  Kilcodo and  joecifur .


 jillcostumes would probably do a great job but they try to be different each time and each suit has to be unique so all of her foxes are totally different. some are awesome and some not so much, I don't really want to take a risk with a deposit because most expensive one so far.
or maybe  menagerieworkshop and theres about 10 more I checked out

I'll pay the extra bit but mainly for the confidence that they'll get it spot on or even better and for someone who will make this as easy as possible, I never commissioned anything before and a fursuit is a biggy
