However… Mel looks rather odd. More like a caricature than an actual fae which she is. Would a correction be possible?

Umm, maybe my style just don't fit on this character? :/ It's impossible to make changes anymore, because I always draw linearts traditionally.
And chibies usually are more or less simplified caricatures.

It's mainly the eyes and the lips, which make her looks like one of those old Bratz dolls.
The lips should definitely be smaller, along with the eyes. Furs work well as chibi I think, but humanoid characters don't.

Mmmm-m, of course it depends a lot about style how they fit and how character looks. My style just includes big eyes ans luscious lips when I draw humans/humanoid characters.
