I don't think that's it. I think Edward just feels uncomfortable with Derek being with someone Edward, himself, doesn't know. As a friend, you'd fear your friend is going to be with someone that could get them into trouble.
In his opinion, it was better with Mike because Edward knew Mike. With Scott, Edward most likely sees him as a kid who's just going to make Derek's life more needlessly complicated.

I wonder the same thing! I can't see anyone caring that much about who their friends end up with, but perhaps I just don't relate to Edward as a person. - shrugs - But then... if it were MY best friend, I might be leery of her wanting to be with a high schooler, and I suppose she would be the type to look out for me... hmm.
Man, your art has gotten more and more amazing in leaps and bounds lately in this comic. The last couple pages have been really beautiful (not that the other ones weren't, these ones are just especially cool). Thank you for sharing them with us :) When I get my next commission I'll have to donate a little to the cause, because I always love reading the updates!
Man, I think Maria is so shallow for telling him to get surgery or contacts. Glasses are hot, for one, and suggesting that someone should make that dramatic of a change/effort just for the sake of appearance when they don't want to is really stepping over boundaries, imho. Love this comic, though :)
