I remade the legs for Charizard... A ton of extra work, but I really think it's worth it.
Yes, this is harder to walk in, but it looks much better. I was expecting this costume to be mostly sedentary anyway. :)
Please excuse the horrid mess of my work space... x_x It's really small.
My next goal is to carve the toes and make new/larger claws for the new feet!

Oh my oh my - was looking into seeing if anyone had tried doing full-foam patterning for a bodysuit since I was considering the logistics of trying to that myself and this is right up the alley of what I was looking for!
If you don't mind me asking, what do you have between the torso and thighs to serve as a leg joint? Is there some kind of swivel mechanism, anti-friction padding, or did you just glue the legs clean onto the bodysuit?

Yeah, I was considering trying to work out getting some kind of metal/plastic cuff to attach to the shoulder/hip joints to make bulkier designs less sedentary, opting for a shell-like bodysuit as opposed to copious amounts of padding, though I've yet to figure out how such a mechanism would work. It would certainly have to be custom made. If you come up with any ideas, definitely let me know. I probably won't be starting another project for myself for at least a few months.
So I had an idea, and when I eventually get to sculpting body padding, I'll give it a whirl and post the results, but I figured I'd pass the insanity on to you.
Was on my way home and someone left a memory foam mattress by the curb (don't worry it's clean), and it occurred to me, I might be able to make padded joints flexible by substituting portions of the costume upholstery foam sculpt with strips of memory foam instead. I think this would work for elbow and possibly knee joints, but there's an off chance it might also work for shoulders and thighs.
Don't know if anyone has tried using memory foam as a hinge medium, but experimentation is always fun, so I'll give it a shot.
