Each tap by her claws on the marble desk made his spine tingle. Each time the sound reached his ears, they would flick back to lay against his skull. Feeling the lump in his throat, he tried to swallow it, hoping it would calm the butterflies in his stomach.
"Mr. Summers.." and that voice, that honey sweet, voice. It made his spine tingle and his head swim. Trying to meet her gaze, he failed. Only able to fidget in his chair, trying to make himself as small as possible. He knew he'd failed this interview, he knew that she'd tell him to leave.
"I am, truly, impressed by your resume. So much praise from your previous places of employment, such high grades from your schools. It is quite rare to see something of this magnitude from someone so.. young," he watched her lips, watched them bend into a gentle smile as she spoke. Here it came, here she'd tell him they were looking for something else.
"And it is with great pleasure," the feline reached down and pulled out a drawer on her desk, "that I offer you a place in the Wild Desires family."
Her hands moved up, holding a jewellery casing and gently placed it on the desk in front of him. Hands drawing back, letting the casing flip open on its own to reveal the black choker with the golden ball bell attached to its front.
"Your work uniform, wear it well," leaning back, her hand moved to slowly slide her finger her own bell, shifting it ever so slightly to make it chime. Kyle reaching forward to gently pick up the choker offered to him, slowly raising it to wrap it around his own neck. Feeling the clasp snap closed in its own when the two ends drew near to one another.
"Now," she began, "please take the weekend off, rest up and come in on Monday. I already have a project in mind for you to work on.."
