Nothing fancy. Just artistically marking my territory on the front of my new sketchbook. It had a lovely blank, colored front, I just had to put something on it. Did a little playing about in photoshop.

That's about it really.

Looks good! Is that wonderful background colour the sketchbook? or is that from PS? It's an amazingly sublime and soothing colour gradient... i love it. It's like the ocean! Oh, i bet this was greyscale, but you added the colour gradients in PS. that's what it looks like! You're great with colours.

The color of the sketchbook is pretty much akin to the mossy green color in the top left corner-ish :) The rest of it was just me messing with coloration and graidents etc. Just to mix it up and make it a lil more visually interesting.

It turned out really well. I like how you used the white (gel pen, colored pencil?) on her and around her to make her pop out more.

And for some reason I'm incredibly fond of the lettering. I love just doodling up letter myself. <3

Uses a little bit of both gelpen and white color pencil (the color pencil is the more subtle highlights)

I cant remeber exactly which species it is that has them, but some species of fruitbat has lil tubular noses where the nostrils look like lil spirals on the inside, its inspired by that ^_^ Something people dont usually seem to notice on the smaller pics of her.

Still fantastic that you put that detail in, though - I've not seen many people who take the time with such things, and they can make even the most fantastic creatures believeably realistic. Perhaps the added consistancy helps, there...
