I'd just received a belated Christmas card from Captain Furry, including a handmade, colored image (of his 'fursona' and mine) to wish me a "Happy New Year" - which I'm sharing with all of you (with the Captain's permission). "iFeliz Año Nuevo!"

Surprisingly enough, the original sketch was drawn on a slightly stiffer piece of paper measuring 8 1/2" x 11 5/8" (instead of the obligatory 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper most folks - like myself - use). Of course, using my scanner, I'd trimmed off the bottom part of the picture with the Captain's signature on it, as there was nothing else in that area. I also cropped the excess white space on both sides and the top. What's left over is nothing but masterpiece!
BTW, this same image could've easily been drawn for next year - 2010 - with the number 'one' placed in between our respective bloated bodies! Maybe by December 31, 2009, someone else will do a rendering of the final year with a pair of zeroes... the numbers, that is, NOT the characters!
