Very detailed linework, and the colouring looks like it would have been very time-consuming!

Thanks for the words! ^_^ For this particular piece, more time than usual was spent on getting the linework and colors to come out right.

I find the cartoony deer-morph looks a little out-of-place against the very detail-rich and realistic background though... and while in the end, the effect of the pencil colouring is marvellous I think digital colouring could have done this pic equal justice and required much less time and effort.

Unfortunately, the somewhat cartoony look has always been part of my style, but my work continues to evolve so such things may be more harmonious in the future. Magic Clam and I are a little old-fashioned in that we enjoy working with the traditional media. It's really cool to see just how far coloring pencils can be taken.

Kaneshia most likely acquired many interesting accessories in the city of Chondy located in the northern country of Siskia on Cervidia. I would'nt be surprised if Jaden (you can see him in the mirror) selected this lovely outfit for Kaneshia.

Backgrounds can definitely be the "grueling work" portion of a drawing.

Seriously, though, this is one heck of a piece. So rich in detail. On that subject, it wasn't until I looked a third time that I finally noticed the shadowy figure in the mirror. Though Kaneshia seems quite happy he/she has arrived...and rightfully so. Not sure why it took me that long to notice something so simple. I guess I was...distracted.
