So, I've been a part of thise fandom for about 10...11 years now. I spent most of that time keeping my furry interest a secret, as high school is a sheithead to anyone who is different (or at least that was how it was in my head, probably woulda been fine.) In any case, I only discovered a furmeet about 4 years ago, but things never really worked out and I didn't 100% feel like I was welcomed into it with open arms and even more open hearts.

I was kinda disheartened, as one would be. You've been a furry for almost ten years and yet you have not talked to an actual furry in person? And now you do and you come out of it with a few friends, but still not feeling included?

But then, on a whim,  curo brings me along to a meet at Neb's Funworld in Oshawa. I was shy and unsure what to expect. And the second I walk in, I'm treated as if everyone had known me all their lives; like I was some friend that they hadn't seen in years and didn't expect to reappear. I was already a member of their crew and I hadn't even spoken to any of them.

That meant a lot to me. A lot. And that's why I consider every one of the furs in the  Oshawafurmeet to be dear friends to me. Hence this poster.....it was a small token to show the immense gratitude I have for each and every one of them.

I love all of you guys. Yall mean the world to this humble burb. <3
