Unoriginal? Who else did a story on genetically engineered Dogs of War after the war is over?

S. Andrew Swann, the Moreaux trilogy.

I was hoping this one would appear soon after I first saw this teaser page. I dont know what's unoriginal about a postwar genemod wrestling or gladatorial story. I heard a few talking the talk about their avatar characters but none walking to write it down. The closest was Wookie's stories for Furnation, but I get the impression those were natural furries and not genemods. The tale was window dressing for a rollicking good sex romp anyway. ;=)
With year 8* of the Forever War rolling in, the time might be right for this story now.

This has got SO much potential, true it's been done before by
other artists, but there's so many good ways to tell a story.
Besides, the doggy's look kind of hot, in a feral sort of way.
Of course I always did like bad boys.

dude like all the others say pretty much ever story has been told its HOW you tell it that makes the difference, but this story sounds hella cool and it would be interesting to see more of it

I think it could've been a good one. There's not a lot of original ideas left, so it's just coming to reinventing the old ones.

Considering this was written about 3,000 years ago, it should say tell you not to be too worried about writing a story that's been done before.

And if the fighting doesn't work out, he can always ask the porn studios if they're looking for something 'a little different'. ;)

I agree with Heywulf- might not be new, but yers would be worth seeing.

For what it's worth, stories don't have to be all brand spanking new and original to be fun. Just told in a good way.

You know, I'll admit that I've seen setups like this numerous times, but that doesn't make the execution any less enjoyable. Don't let things like 'unoriginality' stifle you, man. :)

If I recall, David Eddings wrote a fantasy story using every cliche he could find. It was called The Belgariad. In my opinion, it was GREAT!

The ancient Greek play writers complained that all the good ideas had already been used. Don't worry about it. I love this and hope that you do more with this idea.

heh, I don't mention this often but I'm a scientist who works in all sorts of bio-engineering experiments that often include mixing two or more plants/animals with each other and I think about this kind of thing often.

I still think this would have been an awesome idea.
