Backstory: As death itself, Sorte was created by Arceus after Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Unlike most though, they exist after the eventual destruction and recreation of the universe. And as Death, they cannot die themselves, only their body can be destroyed. Though it didn't happen a lot in their lifetime, this indeed happened a few times. With Arceus making them a new body each time. Though Arceus made several joke bodies for them, much to Sorte's dismay. After losing their previous body, Sorte asked Arceus to create a more durable body. He did, though making it more similar to normal mortal bodies in terms of appearance. Sorte annoyed, reluctantly accepted it.
