Ahh. This took me so much longer than anticipated.
Tried a lot of things here, a huge focus was background elements.
Water, grass, mountains/hills, rocks...
Definitely learned a few things for the future!

I could say it again and again how gorgeous this piece is; I really admire the time and little details you put into everything. The background/foreground is gorgeous. I'm glad you decided to add that bit of water. <3 It really balances the green and grey tones of the rest of the background. *u* I almost wish you had a version of this background by itself, without the character. Nothing against the character, I just really love the background so much. How soft it is, and the muted colors; reminds me of like.. an old oil painting. Some day, you should do a personal piece or offer a rare commission spot for a painted BG like this, but with a painted character too. Damn. ;w;/
