What's this, the sixth clean picture from me in a row? Holy god it's been a while since I've been on a clean streak like this, hahaha.
I dunno, just not feeling very porny at the moment. Might be because I'm rather depressed lately and people keep making it worse, but I dunno xD Also, can't think of a decent title >.>
Tried something a little different with this one, wanted to avoid drawing a defined cheekpuff like you see most people do. I have no problem with them, and they look good, but they don't make much sense xD So I figured I'd give a go of defining it with the fur instead of ink. Dunno how well it worked, but meh.
All in all not too displeased with this picture. The background is lame, but was just slapped there to avoid anothe full single colour wash again anyway. The character looks alright too.
And to think, half way through, I was really really close to just throwing this one away. I didn't like how it was going at all. :P Let that be a lesson to all you beginning artists out there.... finish -everything-. Even if it seems like it's utter fail half way through, these things have a way of pulling themselves together if you continue to work hard at them.
Anyway, just sorta playing around to get back into the swing of working with paint after so long off. Lemme know what you think!

How do you get a one armed red head out of a tree? Flip her off! xD
How do you get anyone else out of a tree that's one armed? Throw things at them :P
1st joke, classic
2nd, something i thought up with another red headed friend of mine xD we red heads have bad tempers :P
3rd, just random and stupid xD

I'm totally not gonna comment on the fur. I'm sure at least three more people behind this comment are gonna do that. XD
I like what you did with the cloth effects. Especially with the arm and leg shawls. They still have a presence, despite that you've made them of a transparent nature. And the natural flow that you've given the ribbon and the subsequent loincloth is also nicely done.
~looks at the gap between the cloth and her left leg~ Hey look! Continuation of a body part! Bonus points!!
Also: I'm in total love with her face. Those blue eyes just fit so right with her. And I wanna pet her all day just to keep seeing that smile on her face.

I likes comments about my fur though. They're the whole reason I do fur texture! If nobody cared, I probably wouldn't have learned 'cause it takes a long time x3
But anyway. I'm really glad you like it :3 One of the great things about paint is that transparency effects seem to be really easy. In pencil you sorta have to specifically draw things a certain way in order to do it, but with paint, I pretty much just paint it as if transparents things aren't going to be there at all, then once it's dry, slap on a thin coat of the transparent colour, and I'm done! x3 It's nice.
And yeah! Leaving out parts of limbs just because they're out of the way is a rookie mistake! I only make it about half the time >.>
x3
But yeah, thanks much <^^>

The background looks excellent, and I'm very impressed with how the fur and coloring came out!
Your clothing is very good, it's hard to get detail like that on canvas. Speaking of which, I'm also impressed that you used traditional media - it's nice to see all these snappy CG arts, but it gets old. Good ol' canvas has a certain warm quality to it.
Awesome job!

I've always used traditional media, and I never plan on switching x3 It just feels so much more tangible... I've done a few things digitally out of boredom, and even though it has the potential to be really pretty, it doesn't feel much like drawing, at all. It just lacks all the tactile feedback, not to mention the physical end result! Traditional is more my thing :P
Thanks much :3
Thanks much :3
Yeah, watercolour paper is generally rather rough, and this is actually fairly smooth paper as far as watercolour goes x3 Grain is just going to be a part of my style from now on, that's all there is to it. I'll just have to find a way to make it work for and not against me :P
I'm glad you're doing more clean art lately.
She's really pretty. As usual, the fur texture is awesome. I'm really taken with the sheer fabric, though. It's not easy to make it look sheer, but you did a very good job on that part. And, of course, the background is bitchin'.

awesome. i really really like it. the fur and pose is marvelous. but what is this cheekpuff you speak of? i think i know what you are talking about, but i am unsure. i'm thinking of the tufts of fur on the back of the cheeks like seen on TLK characters...but it would be hard pressed to be put in this pose...so i'm not sure its that.
and i throw my stuff out unfinished because the proportions are nauseatingly wrong, to an unrecoverable point. otherwise they are kept if for no other reason than self spite >.>
regardless though i think this paint thing of yours is really coming along nicely. ^^
